Hi, I’m Danja! My burnout journey began long before I even realized what was happening. From 2019 through 2023, I was living in Barcelona, a city that unfortunately didn’t work for me. Even though most people love it.
Those years were riddled by chronic sickness, deep exhaustion, and relentless anxiety. I was so stuck and burned out that when COVID lockdowns came, I felt a big sense of relief at the chance to pause and stay home. During the years in Barcelona, I started exploring nervous system work which involved a deep dive into understanding the body, trauma, and the ways we process (or don’t process) our experiences. It was truly life changing for me.
Slowly, I began to reconnect with myself and uncover the reasons behind my struggles. I found tools that helped me start to feel alive again, which eventually led me to become a burnout coach. As a coach, I spent two years helping others recover through nervous system practices and intentional living.
I’ve always believed that the opposite of burnout isn’t just “not being burned out”, it’s the freedom to express yourself fully, live intentionally, and build a life that nurtures and supports you. That journey involves slowing down, feeling safe with yourself, practicing self-care as a consistent part of life (not an afterthought), and experimenting to find what works for you. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution and that’s the beauty of it.
Herbalism has been a growing passion of mine, and while I’m still a beginner in... well, basically every way, I find it endlessly fascinating. Plants hold such potential for healing and connection, and diving deeper into this world feels like a natural extension of my journey.
Especially considering my chronic gut issues. Herbs and a holistic approach to my health has been essential for healing. I’m excited to combine what I’ve learned from nervous system work with the nurturing power of herbs and share that exploration with you.
This blog is my cozy healing corner, a library of knowledge, experience, and curiosity. It’s where science meets spirituality, where herbalism meets real-life experimentation, and where I share my musings, insights, and learnings.
On Sip, Soothe & Sprout, I’ll cover topics like:
